Our client is actively looking to recruit a Java Developer to take an active lead role in the development and support of the companies product portfolio.
To take an active role in the development and support of the companies Java application portfolio which includes IDS.
The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in the entire application lifecycle from inception and design, through to development and support. Strong development skills and Java expertise are expected. Mentorship and team leading skills would be desirable.
Educated to BSc Degree level (or equivalent) and higher
Competent in application development in an object orientated language, preferably java.
Proficient using J2EE JAVA including servlets, EJBs, threading, I/O, network programming
Knowledge of XML, XSLT, HTML, Javascript and DHTML
Database knowledge such as DB/2 UDB, Oracle, SQL Server
Application Server knowledge including IBM WebSphere 5, BEA Weblogic 8.1, Tomcat
Knowledge of technologies such as SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, AJAX desirable
UNIX & Windows skills desirable
Possesses a good technical background.
Has a good ability to achieve high performance.

Possesses a good ability to develop and assist others.
Possesses a good aptitude to continuously improve.
